89 – Love Is What Matters

In this episode, we are going to learn some words in Portuguese ending in –oso/osa, and some verbs followed by the preposition “em”.

João and Sílvia are good friends. Silvia started dating a man much older than she is, and John is a little concerned about this.

João – Soube que você está namorando o Artur. O que é que você vê nele?
Sílvia – Puxa! Você também está preocupado com o nosso namoro?
João – Por mim, tudo bem! Mas você não respondeu a minha pergunta.
Sílvia – Bem, eu o acho muito charmoso e atencioso, e é bem diferente de todos os homens que eu conheci até agora.
João – Concordo com você, mas você não acha que ele é um pouco velho para você? Ele tem 45 anos e você 21.
Sílvia – Eu acho que a idade não tem nada a ver com o amor.
João – Agora está tudo bem, mas mais tarde você vai sentir essa diferença de idade.
Sílvia – O que importa é que eu o amo e ele me ama. Não quero pensar no futuro. Nem sei se amanhã vou estar viva…
