55 – What would you do?

We all like to dream of winning the lotto, but what would you do with a lot of money? Today we are going to have a look at different answers to this question by using the irregular and regular forms of the Conditional in Portuguese, besides having a review of numbers from 1 to 50.

Joana asks her friend Paulo what he would do with a million dollars.

Joana – O que você faria com um milhão de dólares?
Paulo – Faria muita coisa. Nem sei por onde começar.
Joana – Você ajudaria os pobres?
Paulo – Ajudaria, sim!
Joana – E você viajaria?
Paulo – Com certeza! Faria uma longa viagem. Iria visitar algumas das novas Sete Maravilhas do Mundo.
Joana – Quais?
Paulo – Eu escolheria Machu Picchu, a Grande Muralha da China e o Taj Mahal.
Joana – E o Cristo Redentor do Rio?
Paulo – O Cristo eu já conheço. Eu fui lá em 2004.
