92 – Interviewing Zenaide Morette

In this episode, we are going to learn how to translate expressions with the word “best” and “if clauses” in Portuguese.

The interview today is with Zenaide Morette, my sister’s secretary, who lives in Belo Horizonte and commutes to Retiro das Pedras about one and a half hours every day. Retiro das Pedras is a very nice fenced community outside Belo Horizonte.

Marina – Tudo bem?
Zenaide – Tudo bem!
Marina – E você trabalha aqui há quanto tempo?
Zenaide – Há seis anos.
Marina – E gosta de trabalhar aqui?
Zenaide – Muito.
Marina – Por quê?
Zenaide – Acho que é a amizade, né? O companheirismo… faz com o trabalho se torne mais suave, bem mais gostoso, né?
Marina – Que bom, Zenaide! E você é de Belo Horizonte?
Zenaide – Não, eu sou paulista, de uma cidadezinha do interior chamada Patrocínio Paulista, perto de Ribeirão Preto…
