Today you’ll learn the names of some countries and how to ask “How do you say this word in Portuguese?”. In this dialogue, Marcos Silveira asks Shirley Green where she comes from.
Shirley – De onde você é?
Marcos – Sou da Austrália.
Shirley – Você fala português muito bem.
Marcos – Eu falo só um pouquinho.
Shirley – Onde você aprende português?
Marcos – Aprendo numa escola em Sydney.
Shirley – Que bom!
Marcos – Como se diz “beer” em português?
Shirley – Cerveja.
Marcos – Como se escreve?
Shirley – C-E-R-V-E-J-A.
