In this episode, we are going to study the vocabulary related to sports, the verb FAZER (to do, to make) in the Present and Past Tenses, and the similarities between some English and Portuguese words. Lídia talks to Gilberto, a young man she has just met, about the sports he practices.
Lídia – Que esportes você pratica?
Gilberto – Natação, corrida e artes marciais.
Lídia – Que tipo de arte marcial você faz?
Gilberto – Eu faço karatê e jogo capoeira.
Lídia – Como é que você encontra tempo para tudo isso?
Gilberto – Eu trabalho só meio expediente.
Lídia – Que que cê faz?
Gilberto – Sou bancário.
Lídia – Ontem você praticou que esportes?
Gilberto – Ontem eu fiz cooper e joguei capoeira.
Lídia – Como é que você se sente fazendo todos esses esportes?
Gilberto – Me sinto muito bem, pronto para enfrentar a vida.
